Crepe Cake

This recipe is like eating a crepe that has puffed up from tiny bubbles of butter.  I like to call it a Crepe Cake, but it was posted online as the World's Best German Pancake.  It is delicious.

Make sure you plan to eat this as soon as it comes out of the oven.  It is good plain or with various toppings like cinnamon sugar, powdered sugar, jam, honey or butter.




Crepe Cake

1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup flour
3 eggs
small pinch of salt
3 Tablespoons butter

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Place the butter in a deep dish pie pan and place it into the oven to let the butter melt.

In a bowl mix together the flour and salt.  Add eggs.  Whisk in the milk.

After the oven has heated and the butter has melted in the pie pan then pour in the mixture.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until it has puffed up around the edges.  The edges will be slightly crispy.  (They are my favorite part)

Serve immediately.
