There are so many easy ways to frost cupcakes. For the next several days I will be posting ideas on how to make a big impact with very little time.
For the cupcakes and frosting, use your favorite recipes. If you are short on time, just use a box mix from the store. That's what I did!
The intent of the next few posts is to show that cupcakes can be beautiful and delicious with very little effort. Sometimes we just don't have time to spend all day in the kitchen creating beautiful food.

18 baked vanilla cupcakes
1 tub of vanilla frosting
sweetened whipping cream if desired
With a knife cut a small hole in the middle of each cupcake. Save the cake pieces. Fill each hole with a spoonful of Nutella (or Nutella mixed with sweetened whipping cream). Place the cutout piece of cake back into the hole.
In a small bowl mix the vanilla frosting with about 3 tablespoons of Nutella.
With a butter knife frost the tops of the cupcakes.
In a small bowl place a few spoonfuls of Nutella. Microwave for about 10 seconds or until soft.
Using a spoon, drizzle the Nutella across the tops of the cupcakes. Sprinkle the tops with chopped nuts.
